Plant Part: Peel of the fruit (It does have some ap-peel...get it?)

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed (While you may like yours hot pressed)

Appearance: Golden / Green (Finally! Something not the color of butter! (Although the neon green tends to look like a mad scientist's potion))

Blends Well With: Sandalwood, Frankincense, Vetiver, Rosemary, Geranium, Lavender, Cypress, Mandarin, Jasmine, Clary sage, Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Orange and Ylang Ylang. For some coincidental reason, these actually would sound like normal Human names with a little tweaking.

Benefits of Bergamot Essential Oil

1. (Imagine it being read with a British accent) Back in my day, in Ancient Italy, we used this Bergamot to cure digestive issues, improve our skin health to pursue the concept known as flawless skin.

2. Bergamot Essential Oil has been used for doctor-y purposes because of its sweet smell- eh, anti-bacterial and anti-microbial (whatever that means) qualities, which makes it able to treat skin conditions like infections, allergies and others, but ironically you have to mix it with carrier oil before putting it on. It's also used in cosmetic products (welp, its green, just so you know) to close up your pores, treat oily skin and improve skin color. Hey, I could use this!

 3. The smell, dude, the smell. We love it. It's tinged with sweet and relaxing elements, so we can see why it's a popular ingredient in perfumes and deodarant. It's intoxicatingly great. The cleansing properties (why it don't own a house, we'll never know) on skin makes it a favored addition to luxury shampoos, soaps and handwashes, but funny enough I've never seen it, much less smelt it. Huh.

Cautions

Picture this: You're pregnant or have sensitive skin, which is why you should avoid it. It can also cause this weird sounding thing called sensitization in some people, so use it in very, very low concentration ONLY. Importantly please, please, pretty please with the cherry on top note that you should dilute it up to a maximum dosage of 4% in a suitable carrier oil.
