Amaneco Brand Story-1

About The Founders

This tale is as old as time (okay, maybe not time, but you get the point), and like many tales, it begins with two friends: Logan and Cheow Han, close friends since 2009 – more than thirteen years.

Both of them have more than a decade of working experience in financial institutions, especially in investment banking. Now, me being a mere twelve-year-old, I have virtually no idea what this means, but hopefully you do and you are impressed by it, because it sounds impressive to me.

Intermittently, they have gone out by themselves, leaving corporate work to set up their own business ventures. Logan has also been a self-employed derivatives trader, not once, but twice.

So, why would two businessmen in the corporate world of offices and financial things suddenly decide to found Amaneco?

Answer: read on to find out why!

Why did the founders want to found Amaneco?

In this volume therein lies a dark revelation to this question concerning….mental health.

*creepy organ music fills the air*

When he was a trader, Logan suffered from…mental health deterioration: Sleep and Anxiety Disorder, which made him realize the importance of both physical and mental health – you know, the two things we often take for granted.

Okay, you may say, I can see some relativity between this and the farm, but I still don’t get it.

No worries, you will soon. To pick up where we left off, during the time when Logan went through the circle of hell known as the Disorder, he picked up a new hobby: gardening. I once read that you only appreciate gardening at a certain age, and this was it for Logan. His love of botany started here – the evidence is quite literally everywhere in his house: balcony, shelves and porch alike are littered with foliage (while the appearance of the house is now very pretty to look at, the number of dead leaves is unbelievable).

Thus, his dreams of starting a farm ignited.

With the help of his partner Cheow Han, both of them acquired an aquaponics farm, aspiring to establish a wellness company promoting the nature-ing (get it? Very puny, right?) Of health in a natural way.

What used to be a terrible thing has turned out to be a blessing in disguise now it caused them to start this farm, aka the beginning of their wellness company.

What is the founders’ goal?

Clearly Logan and Cheow Han’s goal can’t only be to buy this farm to sell edibles.

And their goal can’t also be world domination through the vegetable black market, conquering humanity through brainwashing serums concocted in a secret mad scientist lab injected into the veggies that you eat…no, definitely not that.

In actuality, their plan is relatively simple: to sell fresh vegetables that are free from pesticides and strive to produce health related products made from what they grow at the farm, such as health drinks (e.g.: kombucha and enzymes), essential oils and body care products.

Fresh vegetables that are free from pesticides? Haven’t we all heard that before? How do we know you’re telling the truth?

I know and understand you, my skeptical readers.

But, I give you my word that these vegetables are pesticide-free. Why?

You might not trust a sketchy  businessman, but trust a family. Logan has been picking vegetables and giving them off to family members and friends, who in turn, cook them for their families to eat. People would definitely NOT feed their families with contaminated food.

Why did they choose a farm in an urban area?

Perhaps you might be wondering: why didn’t Logan and Cheow Han simply find a farm in the rural area? Surely there would have more space to grow plants!

Well, my dubious readers, they chose the farm to be in an urban area so the farm-to-table time period is shorter and faster, allowing all you hungry urbanites to enjoy fresher produce. Imagine the time it would take to transport them veggies from the countryside to the city and to your plate – I imagine that they wouldn’t taste as nice!

As you can see now, a farm in an urban area may have lesser space, but it’s definitely worth it when you receive your delicious, beautiful and fresh vegetables.

Urbanites, support nearby farmers!

But you know Amaneco is the best out of the rest.

About the Author

Hi, new readers! My name’s Wensey, and I like reading, eating and sleeping. I’m the one writing all the posts on Amaneco, which I hope and I’m sure you’ll agree, is your new source of vegetables. Other than being a writer, I'm also an ameteur photographer who likes taking photos of plants - move aside humans, foliage is the new trend.

Maybe some of you would like to know more about what I write - well, I mostly wrote fiction (fantasy,  magic, mystery, sci-fi and fairytale fiction). I'm currently working on five stories, which is no easy feat  but fun to pull off. So far, I've won first-place for a Sci-Fi Essay Writing Competition and have been featured thrice on WordHound writing competitions. Maybe someday you readers will be able to read my stories.

What sets me apart from other writers are two things:

One, I don’t sit in an office staring bug-eyed at the computer – rather, I’m currently at home sitting on an old, creaky chair with my fingers tapping at my Jellybean U2000 keyboard, the desktop a mess (I’m sure we all know that sort of mess we all have where we know everything is) and blasting music really loudly; my favorite singers are Why Don't We, Dua Lipa, Will Jay, Sabrina Carpenter and Lady Gaga.

Two, surprise, surprise: I’m actually just twelve, and writing with no editor or supervision – not even someone in charge dictating what I should say! *gasp* I know, you may be thinking: Why would two supposedly sane adults hire a child to write in their websites?

Let me introduce you to the plot twist of the year: Logan Tee, one of the founders….

*drumrolls*

…IS MY DAD.

Oh, and big hugs, thank yous and special credits to a friend of mine for helping me edit this. Muchos gracias, JY.
